Manual payment remains the simplest method for occasional motorway use. This guide describes how a manual-lane crossing works and offers a few practical tips.
How it works
- Choose a manual lane (no Jawaz logo) and slow down.
- In a closed toll system, take the ticket at entry; keep it carefully.
- At the exit or crossing point, present the ticket and pay the amount shown.
- Wait for the barrier to lift before moving off.
Practical tips
- Carry cash and coins: it is the most universally accepted method.
- Keep your ticket within reach to avoid rummaging at the booth.
- Pull up close enough to the machine or booth to make the exchange easy.
If you lose the entry ticket, the trip may be charged at the maximum. Take extra care not to misplace it.
